Driver Side Power Seat Stop Working

We were wondering if anyone out there could assist us with a problem that just crop up with our Driver side power seat that has stop working completely on our 2006 Monaco Signature. Passenger working great. Any information would be appreciated, we are leaving on our trip in a couple of week and sure would like this to be working.

Hope not to make this post to long.

Here's what our investigation has reveled thus far. Have checked the fuses in the front running box for the driver and passenger seats, which only are power on with the ignition key, all good. I believe those fuses are for the heating circuit for the seat. Could not fine any other fuses for the power seat circuit in the front box. Power to the to the connections under the rear of the seat, OK. Power at the Memory Control box located in the front of the seat is present. The Memory Control I believe to be manufactured by Inventure - Goshen, IN back in 2005, manufacture P/N MD200. (see attached file below) I am fairly confident that we have continuity to all switches from the Memory Control box. I can't believe that we have motor issues, because not all the motor could go bad all together. Stumped !!!

Have tried to search for the manufacture, memory control box and the iRV 2 site without any luck. Sure could use so help on this one.

Thanks in advance
Ray

Did you turn the drivers seat around during this trip. If I turn mine the wrong way it will unplug the wire. I know this is kind of simple but it has happened a couple of times.

Did you put a voltmeter on the seat side of the connectors? It could still be the connectors if pulled hard they could slip out of their crimps.

In any case, a voltmeter grounded to one of the bolts on the floor and checking both incoming wires of the seat while you engage any of the seat switches should tell you if you have a bad power source or ground.

Driver Side Power Seat Stop Working

YC1,
I thought I would get back after further investigation on the power source. Come to find out there is 12.4 volts coming into the seat. This go into a Memory Control Board. Electrical connection to the board shows 12.4 volts. The Memory Control Board has several outputs. Distribution (six way switch), rear, front, vehicle, memory, base and back. Testing the output of the Memory Control Board, this shows only 11.8 volts. This may be the problem. If so we are looking for a new Memory Control board MD 200. No luck on the internet search, suggestion!

I have sent in a technical service request to REV, in hope we get some kind of response, crossing my fingers.

What are you thoughts here, remember the power does not go directly to the power seat controls.

Thanks

Did you put the voltmeter probe on the negative lead of the power source for the seat?

This needs to be done to eliminate a ground problem.

The 11 or so volts is a bit meaningless without a schematic for me. Helpful a bit.

Did you attempt to take a voltage reading on the motor when trying to activate?

I doubt Rev group would be much help. The seat Mfgr might be able to supply some sort of documentation. A road map, (schematic), for an electronic tech is gold.

I'd be surprised if you get any help from REV.

I think this may be the company that made the module.

Sounds like you need to continue testing that module. Might take it off and and take it apart to see if anything obvious. I'd be thinking of maybe calling the seat manufacturer about direct wiring that seat with out the module? 11+ volts is enough to power the seat.

Let me do a little more investigating. Are you asking if we check the ground and the positive leads of the power seat circuit at the connector? I have not check the voltage at the motors when activated the switch. Little more work for me.
Thanks

Have taken the module apart. It is a circuit board, no visual issues. I have no way to check out the circuit board, nor would I know what I was looking for.

I also had thoughts of deleting the module and wiring the switches direct. Do you know of any problems or issues (adding relays) that maybe required if so.

Thanks for your thoughts,

Who is the seat manufacturer? Villa?
