Driver's Side Window

In need of a window for driver's side front. Hopefully someone has a source for the window. It is not electric.

Curious, is one pane broken? A glass shop can have one cut to replace it, they usually have to order a tempered glass piece. Auto Glass Boss did that on mine & it wasn't a big deal to dissamble and replace the insulated glass.

Boneyards may have one.

The glass is not broken, but does have a little fog. Upon closer inspection. I think I really need a new gasket/seal, which will require me to remove the window. At this point, I am really not sure which direction to go. Replace or repair.

You can probably repair for $100 or replace for $1500 and wait weeks to get new window. If you are not handy with the repair, there are plenty of shops that will do this for you.

There’s a place north of Tampa that you can camp over night and they do your window the next morning. Seems it was like $50 per window

Unfortunately, I am fairly stationary in Katy, TX. Would like to go to the Monacoer's meeting in February, but mostly have to stay close for the time being.

There is a shop somewhere in Texas that does the repair while you wait. They give you a spot with power, remove window, cove the opening and then build the window.
I read about the place a few years ago, though, I don't recall the name.
I had my front window taken out and new panel installed. $750 through a local glass company.

Okay, none of the local glass companies can help with my driver's side window. Apparently I need a gasket rather than a glass. Are there any sources to get a new gasket? I can do the repair work on the wall under the window, but not much use until I am sure there is no moisture coming in.

Go to R V Glass Doctor in Searcy, AR. They have on site electric and water and can fix you up probably in one day.

I was hoping for something a little closer to Houston as I am anchored hear with caretaking responsibilities. Thanks for the tip though, if nothing around here opens up, I may have to go to Arkansas.

Russ, these are the guys that repaired our drivers window.
https://www.rvglassexperts.com/side_windows.html

They have two methods of repair. They can reseal your original double pane window, or replace it with a single pane that is guaranteed for life.
They have locations in Coburg Oregon, Phoenix AZ, or Lakeland FL.

Thanks Vito. Guess I need to plan a trip to Phoenix. It would be good to see you guys again. Maybe in the spring.
