Here's the link. They work on the same priciple as the Dyna Beads that a lot of folks use. I installed the Dyna Beads in my last set of new tires and they made a large improvement as well.

I'm no expert but it's a squigly uneven wear pattern on the outside rib of the tire.
The Goodyear G670 seems to be kind of famous for it especially on the roadmaster chassis front.

Here's a lnk that may help explain it better

I had the centramatics on the front end of ours and when I got the new tires to replace the rivering GY's on the front, the alignment guy basically said, if you get a good balance you don't need the centramatics, so we took them off and haven't missed them...

I keep them in the basement in case we run across anyone that wants them ...

Winddecker my XZA-3's that I had replaced due to side wall cracking was part of a run that they had done in China back in 2010-2011 time period. Now their new line of X Line Energy Z tires for RV's are produced in Canada.

Thanks for that. I do remember that I was told to be sure to order the + tire, maybe that is the difference? I see no cracking of any type.

I agree, a good balance job should eliminate the need for balance beads or Centrematics but at over $700 per tire, I am giving myself the best chance I can to prevent premature wear.
Pick them up at a Travel America (TA center), best price I have seen, seems like they were about $100 per axle.

x2 on dumping the front Goodyears. Replaced the two front which had significant 'rivering' - replaced with 2 Yokohamas. The Yokohamas didn't even need balancing weights (I watched them balance each tire 3 times to make sure). SMOoooooth ride now.
One of the easiest and best fixes I've made yet.
When the rear Goodyears age out (still in good shape) I'll replace them as well.

Look at the edge of the tire. If you look closely you can see it on both edges.

I traded my old Regional Michelins in for $80.00 per tire even though they were just over 7 years old. They had "rivered" worse than these pictures which is why I added the Centrematics.
Anyway, the tire shop laughed at me, said this wear was "nothing" for the truckers. None the less, age removed.

Thought I would do a quick follow up on this thread, we have since driven about 500 miles on the new Michelins and have to say that the coach does seem to drive a lot smoother and the front is tracking better than before and not moving around as much.

Definitely a large improvement over the Good Years.

I'm in the process of purchasing a 2001 Monaco Executive that needs all 8 tires replaced due to age (newest ones are dated 2011). I see that FMCA now has discounted price on Continental as well as Michelin. Given I'll be replacing all of the tires including the TAG axle so just looking to get the best value and ride.

Thanks!

I did the same thing, traded for an 05 Executive that needs steers now and rear tires in 1 year.
I have been looking at the Toyo tires very close on these threads. Always used Michelin tires in the past but at double the price, worth looking around. So far, I have seen nothing indicating any issues with the Toyo tires.

I decided to put the Michelins on the front, and so far they are a big improvement over the Goodyears, the coach isn't wandering now as it was with the Goodyears.

When it comes time to replace the rears and the tags I will be looking at the Toyo's and Continentals

I put Toyo's on the front last year and will do the same with the rears in a few weeks. I put Toyo's on my last MH and drove about 30,000 miles on them with no issues.
