My Echo Charger is a year old and has worked faithfully up until now. My Motorhome was put in storage 3 weeks ago and is getting 30amp shore power. When I checked on it today the house batteries were fully charged and the chassis batteries were discharged. I checked the hook up for corrosion, the in line fuses, and the green light on the unit. The coach inverter/charger was in the float charge mode. Everything looks ok, however, the house batteries are not sending a charge to the chassis batteries. Has anybody else had their echo charger go bad? During the summer months, I was parked for 3 to four weeks several times and the chassis batteries always stayed stayed charged.

Are you sure its the charger?? You show an 06 coach, probably 05 batts.. Have you ever added water to them? Even though they have a plastic cover over the cells, all of us who have checked them have had to add water..
Our echo~charger is still working great after 2+ years..

I found the echo charger overly complex in my 1999 Alpine. I replaced with a solid state Trik-L-Start for $50.00 and never had another problem for the next four years. Just a thought if the EC is indeed bad

<BLOCKQUOTE class="ip-ubbcode-quote"><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-title">quote:</div><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-content">Has anybody else had their echo charger go bad? </div></BLOCKQUOTE>I have. It was just under a year, and Xantrex replaced it under warranty, after having me report back to them with voltage readings. On mine, the green light would constantly flash indicating it was not seeing 13+ volts from the house batteries when the voltage was indeed present.

Here is the manual for the echo~charge. It contains a trouble shooting guide. Hope it helps.

Yes, I check the water at least once a month. The chassis batteries are about a year old. Discharged batteries caused me to purchase new batteries and the Echo Charger a year ago. I am placing my order for the trik L charger today.
