Electric slide out storage tray

Need a little help, 2007 sig with electric slide out in storage bay. Slide worked quit working and can't get assistance from manufacturer. Does anyone have an owners manual that could be emailed.

I can't help you but a couple of things come to mind.

1. Do you know the make and model of the slide out?

2. You may want to contact Monaco and request a data card. The data card will tell you all the specifics of what your coach was built with.

The data card is free ..send Monoco an e-mail it will take a day or two to get and well worth the effort IMO

Monaco thought lippert industries bought them out but the don't show them, as a matter of fact I haven't found anyone showing electric ones. I have voltage and the switch is operating so I think it's the switches that control how far out and in it will go. They are a pain to get off when you can't move the tray but with a little time and effort I will get them.

These folks build an electric powered slide out tray. I have the manual trays that extend 80% in both directions. When I purchased mine in 2008, their website had the electric ones prominently displayed. Their current site has them hidden away, sort of.

On bottom of Home page is a link, "What is SlideMaster?". Click on it and scroll most of way to bottom to see "Electric Drive". It just mentions that they are available on some models, and not much more. Look around the site at the different pictures to see if yours might be a SlideMaster tray.

It is a Kwikee Super Slide II PowerSlide. It has a manual release lever about 4' or 5' from the curbside cargo door on the right hand side looking in.

Is it doing anything, are the drive motors running? The cargo door pin switch is the first suspect, a loose ground or one cut by the slide is a close second. If the drive motors are running but no movement then the drive wheels may have lost their tread.

I also have the Installation Guide and the Assembly Instructions, each file is larger than this forum will allow, just over 3MB each. Send me a PM & I'll email them to you.

This is a great start thanks. No the motors do not run, voltage is good ,ground is good and switch checks good. Monaco suggested the limit switches but the slide will not release manually so very hard to get to. Thanks again for your help, one step at a time.

The manual lever on one of mine wouldn't work, it turned out that a wire was caught on it. I was able to remove part of the latch and free it, I also removed the brake motor. The reason the slide wouldn't work electrically was due to a ground wire under the slide where you couldn't see it had been cut. It wasn't tied up very well.

When you get it apart, inspect the Urethane tread on the wheels as they can lose the tread & the drive wheels will just spin. PPL had the best price I could find for the wheels.

I bought a remote control from Lippert to use on the roadside as there is no switch there. The receiver is already in the controller in the middle of the slide where the LED lights are. The remote runs both of my powered slides.

Thanks for your help. I got it working just not sure what fixed it. The locking motor wasn't working, cleaned and adjusted the switch then removed motor cleaned connections and manually tested and it ran. Reinstalled the motor and all is well.

Intermittently, one of my slide out trays will not respond to the switch but I'll come back later, hours or days, and it's working fine. I've never been able to find the problem. Yours may be that same intermittent problem. would love to hear if you ever find the real problem and a good solutions.
