Electrical Nightmare!

2006 Beaver Monterrey IV, New batteries, now no auto leveling function,
Only starts with engine boost switch? Volts max out then go to normal? NONE of the ANL fuses have power???
Check Tran light intermittent?

Does ANYONE have the wiring diagram for the batteries and the 4 white wires connecting to the batteries?

Who installed the batteries?? Did you take picture and label them?

Take a close look at the wires, if there is block loom covering pull it back. Look for markings, usually a number and label.

I had several relays in the front drivers side run bay that were not marked. Pulled back the loom and most of the wires had markings on them and with using a wiring diagram I was able to identify the relays.

Go to where the positive cable attaches to the batteries and where the negative cable attaches to the batteries. Using a voltmeter, check and see what the voltage is when you touch those two posts, it should be 12 volts. It sounds like the batteries were installed incorrectly.

I suggest your join FMCA and their Beaver Ambassador Club. The BAC has an extensive library of information that is available only to members.

What is your battery bank? From seeing other Beaver MH's I assume your house batteries are 6V wired in series/parallel. Is that correct for your MH?

Incorrect battery wiring. That is why it's common knowledge to take a picture or draw a diagram of battery wiring before disconnecting anything.

This is how a 6V bank of batteries should be wired for a 12V MH:

Thanks installed correctly when putting them in the tray there was an unfortunately arcing when sliding the batttery into place. No volts to the ANL fuses but there is voltage on the side connections of the multi ANL bank. The coach battery seem to be functioning fine its the engine batteries I believe causing multi issues.

OK, forget my post #4. that is for the coach battery bank. Your chassis battery bank should be 2 12V batteries.
Hopefully the "spark"/short didn't take out much but fuses.

Thanks. Yes 12 volts. It’s unknown why the ANL fuses are not working?
Have a great day.

Get a multimeter and start checking voltage from the batteries through the disconnects and through the circuit.

Not sure on your coach but on mine both the chassis and house got through disconnects and attach to an isolation relay. From there the house side goes to the large fuse that feeds the inverter. Check on the battery side of the large fuse and see if you have 12 volt. Then check on the other side of the fuse, you should have 12 volt. If not the fuse may be bad.

Thanks, it appears the battery cables feed into a bank on ANL fuses. The left and right side of the bank have 12 volts, but the ANL fuses read zero.

If you're reading across the fuse with a volt meter, zero is a good reading. If you read voltage across a fuse it means the fuse is blown.

Please clarify: Was the negative lead of your digital voltmeter on a good clean GROUND/negative?

And the positive lead on the battery side of the fuse and then on the "house" side of the fuse?

12+ VDC to neither side or just the battery side?

The 4 white wires, where are they connected positive or negative?

jacwjames alluded to his battery disconnect switches. On his and my coach, they have large round knobs and they are known to go bad.
Most of the power has to go thru those switches, not all power but most and I believe the power to your ANL fuses comes thru one of those switches. It's easy to test & bypass if it's bad, then replace it later.

Can you tell us where the spark occurred?

4 White Wires

On my 2005 Monterey the 4 white wires are connected to the NEGATIVE terminals (2 wires to each of the two chassis batteries). Hope this helps.
