Hello everyone
I got A 2008 HR endeavor that the windsheld wants to pop out in the upper passenger side corner. have anyone else had this problem and what did you do to solve it ? thank you !

My former coach was a Monaco and several windshields popped out with the first owner and I had one come out at the top within the first 100 miles. In under 14,000 miles, a total of four windshields had to be replaced. There is a fix, at least for the Simba, but it runs over three thousand dollars plus installation. The entire front cab area needs a structure to keep it from swaying. If you have a TV above the cab area it contributes to the problem. Solution: I traded it in and bought a Winnebago product. FWIW I think the opening, cut for the window, is oversized. If it were structure they would all be popping out! My friend had this happen on his Beaver. They built up the oversized area with fiberglass. Never happened again.

Monaco had this problem on some of the Camelots, but I have never heard of the problem on the Endeavor or models. They had a fix and some of them were done at the Oregon plant before the Bankruptcy. Seems like they called the fix a HALO kit. Search for halo with bigskybob as the poster/member.

azloafer, I assume that was aimed at me. Looks like you are right and I am wrong. At least in as to how they are, were, going to try to fix the problem. My mind was still stuck on the two piece windshield.

This has been a problem for a number of years for the one piece windshield. You must have a early model 2008 becacause they corrected the problem that year. If it was mine, first I would talk with Monaco tech support and see what they recommend. Depending on your location, I would take it to the factory in Oregon or a good Monaco service center. I know they opened a center in Elkhart IN and another in Wildwood FL with former Monaco employees These folks would be able to help you. Some other members may chime in here to tell you if these centers are still open. One thing I know for sure from experience with a 2006 model, gluing the windshield will not hold. Keep us advised of your progress.

You were not necessarily wrong. I felt that it could be the opening too, but found out that it may be a combination of things. The last time that I drove that coach I was going as slow as I could in a RV storage lot and I was able to watch the upper part of the cab sway side to side independent of the rest of the coach. I had the dealer pick it up because I was afraid to drive it. The first glass company said they could replace the glass and later decided that they wanted me to sign a release that they were not accountable if the glass cracked or popped out. The insurance company decided that the dealer where I bought it should take care of it. While they were fixing that, there were another 3 or 4 things wrong (recalls) so we had them take it back and we worked something out on a different coach...listed below. Joe

I forgot to mention that someone from Winnebago, told the prior owner that when the coach is built, the windshield is put into the cap or cab (whatever) and then the whole front (for lack of a better word) is added to the rest. That's how important the windshield becomes to the entire structure. I didn't get this first hand so take it for what it's worth. Joe

I said Winnebago above and I meant to say MONACO! Senile at such a young age...

I had the same problem on my 07 Dip. The service center in Elkhart attempted to fix it with a bunch of urethane sealant but it didn't work. After a year I took it to a good RV shop in San Antonio that was very familiar with the Monaco windshield problems. They located the center of the windshield and the center of the opening. The centers were 1" off. The glass was shifted to the right (passenger side) 1". They removed the glass, cleaned the opening edge, glass, and rubber seal. They set the rubber seal in urethane in the opening then put urethane in the groove where the glass sets and installed the glass aligning the center marks. It has been over a year and 10,000 miles with no problems. They said the glass was not properly set at the factory and it was not glued in to hold it in place. You may have the same issue.

It seems like the windshield is an integral part of the cab. Kinda keeps it from going side to side. Joe
