The Silverleaf software I use in my 96 Beaver keeps throwing a brake failure code: ENG SID 247 11 Brake pedal switch failure #2 Unknown failure

Can anybody tell me what that is.

Your best bet is to call the SilverLeaf folks and get them to help you.

I recently experienced two codes, one said it was for low fuel pressure and the other was for an 'unknown problem with cylinder #8'. The low-pressure one was right - an algae build-up in a fuel filter. The other one was an obvious anomaly since my engine only has 6 cylinders (at last check, anyways).

The Silverleaf tech decoded them, and I confirmed the first one as being valid when I installed a new filter. He explained away the other one that sometimes the software can throw a false code - possibly a power glitch or bad connection. He stopped short of saying it was simply 'random'.

Still in all, they are worth every cent!
