Entry door grab bar light.
We have a 2008 Monaco 40 PDQ. Is the entry door grab handle supposed to light up?

Don't know for sure but, it's easy to check. Just pull off the chrome pieces and if it is a lighted handle there will be a bulb housed in either the top or bottom. On my Newmar the bulb is in the top chrome piece.
Hope that helps you find out one way or the other.

Which model ? Camelot, Diplomat?
If it is a Camelot, it should light up. I don't know if the Diplomats had lit grab bars.

I had a 2009 Monaco Diplomat 40SKQ and the grab handle did NOT light up. I recall seeing modifications to the grab handle to provide lighting. At the time, it didn't seem too difficult. Too long ago for me to provide specifics.

x2 on Diplomat/Endeavor on the grab-bar not being lighted.
But it's a pretty simple task to pull it off and insert a small 12v LED or incandescent bulb into the chrome base/cap. Run the wires back into the coach behind the passenger armrest and tie into the wiring to the outside 'porch' light (finding that wire was the toughest part when I did my Endeavor).

My 2002 HR Endeavor has a light in the upper part of the grab bar but was never wired in and there is no harness in the storage area next to it. I assume they just don't bother but buy the lighted gab bar and leave it unused?

My 2008 Endeavor was not lighted. It was an easy mod to do.

Being that Endeavor & Diplomat are almost identical in the product lineup, if one does/doesn't have it the other would likely be the same.

I think that all of the models higher up in the lineup above the Endeavor/Diplomat have the lighted entry grab bars...
