New keypad won't unlock bay doors

I just replaced my Essex entry keypad with the plugin replacement KE-171BHC for my 05 Dynasty. My master code unlocks the entry door, but not the basement bay doors like the old keypad did. The new keypad will lock the bay doors with the 555 locking code. Am I missing something? Is there some additional programming I need to do on the new keypad?

Add a 9 to the end of your unlock code to unlock the basement.

I have to hit the 7/8 to unlock the bay doors right after I enter the code to unlock the entry door. Hitting 555 locks all of them.

Have the Keyless-Essex system on mine, replacing the bay door actuators now but have never had trouble with the rest. I do have about 2.5 pages of instructions in my owners manual but no venders data. I use the fob a fair amount and found my “program buttons” under the lift out panel in front of the drivers dashboard

It was a little over $200.
It is easy to change, only 2 screws and one electrical connector. I reinstalled it with 2 new stainless screws. It is plug and play in your Signature.

Some of the other model coaches may have come with a smaller 1600 model and they will need to open up the hole.
It will take about 10 min to program. You can add personalized codes to unlock. Then just add a 9 to the code and it will also unlock the basement doors. 557 will relock all doors. Afterward, you will think its the best thing you've ever done.

You can bring your Viper system back to life. As Walter said, it's a separate system under the upper dash cover in front of the driver. You can get remotes for as low as $8 on eBay.
You will also need to change the motion sensor batteries. One is up front next to the passenger side couch and another in the drivers side bedroom window.

Let me know if you need programming instructions for either system?
Vito, from us way back here in the bleachers .....Thanks for all you do here and always right down to the fine details.
