Eternabond tape replacement

a question for all of you. I was on my ladder today and looked under my slideout awning. the endurabond seal on the perimeter of my slideout is beginning to loosen up. not too bad yet. so i'll repair it this winter in texas. should I remove all the tape or can I just cut out the failed areas and run a new layer of tape over all the existing tape? i'm thinking I should yank it all off and start from scratch. your thoughts?

Do you mean Eternabond? I would remove the old tape, clean well and apply new.

The factoray tape was "tar tape". It fails with age. Remove, clean and apply eternabond. Time consuming, but not hard.

Be very careful using a hair dryer. It will melt the top layer of your fiberglass. I know of what I speak...first hand.
