Exhaust Fan

I have a an exhaust fan in the ceiling in front of the stove and microwave. There is a plastic cover that you have to slide off to expose the fan. There is a small knob that looks like it turns on the fan, but it is inoperative or there is another switch somewhere that I haven't found yet. Is there another switch or does the fan have an issue?

Don't know if ours is the same. We have an exhaust fan in front of the stove also. The control for it looks like an old-style thermostat and is mounted on the wall in front of the fridge, going into the bathroom. It had a cover but was discolored and warped so we junked it!

You probably have a Coolmatic fan. Besides the 3 speed nob switch on the fan itself there is a thermostat mounted somewhere else that controls the operation. It can be turned on/off or set to a temp control.

We use this fan a lot, it pulls lots of air. It can be operated in all weather conditions and while driving.

We also have a Fantastic fan in the bathroom but seldom use it.

My older Endeavor had (as others mentioned) a wall thermostat that was near the Dometic Roof Air thermostat.

My thermostat for the fan is right by the air condition fan. I used it only a couple of times, I prefer using the bathroom fan.

Similar, but not quite. It has a knob attached to the center of the fan.

The "fan speed" knob is close to the center!

BTW, our Essex doesn't have a thermostat but it does have a conventional switch mounted under the sink cabinet ... tough to see because it's hidden by the cabinet trim. Bathroom has a wall switch.

Where can you get a fan speed plastic knob?

My Windsor has the thermostat to control that fan mounted on the side of the cabinet above the sink.

I also have an exhaust fan over the stove with the thermostat on the wall. Does anyone know where the fuse for this thermostat is?
