Fan motor failure punctures radiator 08 Camelot 40PDQ

Hey folks! Wish it weren't the case, but the shaft on the hydraulic motor that runs the radiator fan broke and the fan shot into the radiator and stranded me about 1800 miles from home. Had it towed to the nearest shop but I can't rely on them to track down the right stuff and keep an eye out for my wallet while they're at it. The dealer I bought it from back home suggested I call Veurink's, so I gave them my VIN and all the info I could and they said they'll get back to me. I full time in this, so I need to get this going ASAP and avoid the hotel charges racking up.

I know for sure I need the following:
Radiator (suppose it could be repaired/rebuilt)
Hydraulic Fan Motor
Fan (and any bolts/washers/etc since the original is in a ditch somewhere)
Kit to fix the high fan condition that likely caused this in the first place...

I'd love to know if any of you that have this year/model could take a quick pic of the original fan and hydraulic motor assembly, or at the very least, help me find a suitable replacement. The way it's looking now, the stupid hydraulic motor is going between $1100 and $1350! For a hydraulic motor? INSANE

That fan motor has been leaking for a very long time.

Did the bearing finally seize, causing the shaft to break?

Sorry for your misery. Where are you stuck at?

Source engineering in Oregon might be able to help.

We're near Hermiston, OR about 5 hours away, but I'll give them a call and see if they can help with some good news. Pretty decent folks at Source Engineering?

This would be a last ditch source but you give them a call

When they get the cooling stack out look for a metal tag that will have the information on it.

There should be a name plate on the fan motor, if you could post the info it might help. These motors are hard to find, a good hydraulic shop may be able to help.

That is going to be expensive. I just replaced my side radiator and CAC. $6600.00 for both. Parts and labor at Trans West $13,500.00. You have more going on than I did. 4 months for repairs.

The very best of luck to you.

P.S. Check your comprehensive coverage.

Appreciate it! I mean, the radiator is punctured, for sure, but the rest of the stack looks good. If it weren't for this hydraulic motor Monaco had some high-school engineering intern spec out, I'd probably make out a fair bit better than you did honestly (no offense, man... It's already past the point of stinging with the $2700 radiator and $360 fan blade quote).

FWIW I'm going to be using this thread to document all of this. Maybe the next poor soul can get something useful out of what I find.

Give these guys a call for your radiator. Give them the year, make model, along with VIN and they will either have the radiator in stock or build you one. They have the build sheets for your Camelot. They are located in Sweet Home, OR.
10Boomer used them with his 08 Camelot and was very happy with them.

If you need radiator/CAC parts also call Radiator Supply House, they are located in Sweet Home, Oregon. There number; 855-615-3002. There are soldered on tags for radiator and such, give that to the folks at RSH, they will help. I purchased everything from them, they have all the part numbers for most Monaco’s.
Source is good too for fan, radiator etc. maybe pricer
