Fan Valve Assembly for Side Radiator Hydraulics

My 1992 Monaco Signature with 330hp Cummins cooled flawlessly when we first bought it a couple of years ago. Not too long after, it starting overheating when under load. I'm not going to go into the whole ordeal but to say that it still isn't perfect but workable...until the last trip. It overheated on any long pull.

We stopped and I found a small cylinder dangling by two wires. My Pac Brake had stopped responding, so I assumed this was the culprit and zip tied it up out of the way until I could investigate further.

Upon further investigation, it appeared that this was a part of one of the valves in the hydraulic cooling fan system. Here is the problem, it is the only one of its kind in the system, so I can't see exactly how it should be held back on the valve. Attached is a photo of the valve...

Does anyone have one like this that they can take a picture of so I can se what I need to hold it all together?

There is a hydraulic pump that runs the cooling fans as well as the power steering.

Good afternoon Tomdarcy; I looked at the pictures you posted. The stud on the line in the picture you posted looks like an electrical controlled solenoid. The part you mentioned that has the two wires attached is the winding that when energized opens the valve/solenoid. The piece with the two wires should slip over the stud on the valve you showed and be held on by a retaining clip that must have come off. I ran a flame cutting machine for 25 years and had lots of those valves/solenoids that controlled air and gasses. The coils/magnet would fail quite frequently and have to be replaced. Hope this helps you in your repair. If the magnet part of the solenoid is working, I would slip that back over the stud part of that valve and get a c-clip to reattach it. Good luck! I also forgot to mention that on the valves/solenoids that I am used to, the part that held the magnet on was a plastic piece that would fail because of the heat produced by the flame cutting machine. If yours had a plastic retainer to hold the magnet part on, I would understand that that part could fail over time from the heat in the engine compartment.
