Fault codes

I have a 2001 diplomat cummins 330 ISC
The stop engine light comes on while driving. If I take my foot off the throttle the light goes off. Sometimes the motor jerks like it temporarily shuts down
My Scan Guard gives me the following codes 124, 42,206 all with a count of zero. Then code 233 has a count of 94.
I had a Machanic look at it. He said my oil was 3 quarts low and could cause the low oil level sensor to **** off the fuel. So we out oil into it and having the same problem.
Anyone have any ideas.
Thanks
Rick

Are you seeing a Stop Engine Light or a Check Engine Light? One thing I have found is if I don't wait for the Wait Light to clear on start up it will result in a CEL at some point down the road. Don't be in a rush to start.

No. It's the red Stop Run light. The warning light blinks once in a while after the warning light goes out. The check engine light never comes on, except when I first turn my key on before starting. So I know the bulb is good.

124 is Intake manifold pressure, engine protection. Likely the sensor. 233 Engine Coolant Pressure Low – Warning
The other codes as not in my ISC Manual.

Hi DtBt
Thank you for your reply.
Any idea what causes a low coolant pressure. I was thinking a bad radiator cap. I have no leaks of oil or water. Other people have told me that my 330 ISC doesn't have a coolant pressure sensor.

Do you have an account with Cummins Quckserve

https://quickserve.cummins.com/info/index.html

If not register and then input your engine SN. Once your do this it will bring up a screen that has multiple tabs, Parts & Service

Under service there is a fault code look up, input the codes you get for your engine and it will tell you what the code signifies.

From there you can do some searches in the Quickserve site and on line. Within the Cummins site you can also download a complete service manual for your engine that has fault codes and service recommendations. In my case there were 6 different files totaling +20MB & 2000 pages of info.

When was the last time you changed your fuel filter. That will/can cause the stop engine light to come on. It will also cause the engine to hesitate. Just my experience. Good luck.
