Unfortunately with our past RV we had some major problems and soon found out where to take our RV to and where not too.

Brazel’s RV Center is one to take it too!
www.brazelsrv.com

We recently went to Brazel’s in Chehalis WA where we met Alan Sanders who is their General Manager/ Shop Foreman and extremely knowledgeable. Alan is a great communicator too as well as being a great leader of a amazing crew!

After owning this RV for a ear now we went to Brazel’s to get our Aqua Hot Serviced. Ben Taylor was the one who did that work and was great at communicating what was happening and repairing it. He then made a couple of suggestions for the future and we decided to do that work as well. Ben also mentioned a great upgrade as he and my DH spoke about wanting more power to our RV. Ben knew of a solution to that and so we scheduled several upgrades!

Between Alan Sander’s for has done some of the upgrades on our RV and Jon Brazel who has done the Dyno programing on the ECM I can not say enough about this amazing crew!!! Kyleigh is their amazing service assistant who can seem to find any part that you might want along with Jon Brazel’s who is their Parts manager and also does the Dyno Programing.

They have an RV park for you to stay in your RV as they do the work on your RV too. We recently had the following done:
Aqua Hot Service
Replaced the HD antenna
Replaced the Anemometer as it came with one of the cups broken off
Fuel Filter was replaced
We had an Aero Muffler and Exhaust system installed
High Flow Air Filter
Custom ECM Programming as well
New Alternator Belt and Tensioner
Hand Washed and Waxed as well

Our RV had a unique pin head for the ECM Custom Dyno programing and Jon went above and beyond to get an adapter sent in so the programing could continue, then for what ever reason our ECM would not communicate with the programmer and he overnighted it to the vendor and they programed it there to open so that the programing could be completed. No extra cost to us at all! And now our RV which is a 500HP engine runs amazing - we though it ran well before but now………WOW!
We had free time while at Brazel’s and had talked about buying a new Jeep and did, so I drove behind my DH home and called to ask him if he had been watching his speed he said yes and was only going 60 he was sure of it. I then told him he was now a Jet pilot as he was going 70 (which was the speed limit for cars) lol.

The custom ECM Dyno Custom programing has increased the performance a lot and next month when we drive over CO’s mountains we are sure it will be a much easier trip from previous RV trips with our old RV.

Gains:
RPM HP TQ
1250 +44 +175
1400 +54 +150
1600 +58 +110
1800 +39 +80
2000 +10 +20

Its very hard to find great RV Service Centers and we both have to say that this is one of them!

We have taken our coach to Buddy Gregg RV in Knoxville. Recently purchased and have a few issues that need corrected. By their website they seem to be a very good place to get service.

Will post a review after we get the coach back from repairs,

Chuck

Buddy Gregg got our coach fixed on thursday. Quickly diagnosed the problems with our coach ac units ( was campground low voltage fault ) and repaired bad ground wires behind dash. Was in and out in 4 hrs. Reasonable rates ( $120 per hour ) and great service. Nice to have found a complete rv service center close to our home in Tenn.

We had fuel pump worked on at Kings, yes Tom did a great job and saved up a couple of thousand by rebuilding the fuel pump. We will always use them for engine work. We have our 40ft diesel pusher down in Bradenton for the winter

We have friends in Bradenton. Where is there a good campground there?

ABC Bus in Faribault, Mn just called. Our Journey is ready to be picked up in the morning. I took it in yesterday morning to have one windshield replaced and the other one resealed due to leaking. The windshields are done and it only has to sit inside overnight to let the sealer set up.

This is our second or third time using them and they seem right on the ball.

The cracked windshield is of course covered by Ins.

This morning drove down to Faribault picked up our journey. It had set over night inside to let the sealer set. It was setting out front ready to go. The tech that did the work was called out to explain what he did in detail.

Very satisfied with ABC Bus.

Getting back to favourite service centers, I have a very good mobile RV tech in Calgary (Little D's RV). Recently I decided I wanted to get some serious upgrades done to make my Patriot Thunder a better fit to our use. I was over in Portland OR and we made a trip down to Elite RnR in Harrisburg.

I had a list of things that had not worked for some time, or were annoying me, and I used that list as a test drive to see if I wanted them to work on the remodel.

I was really impressed with how they assessed the coach, told me to focus immediately on re-sealing the slides, and they hit my list. The are not cheap on an hourly basis, but to watch the work is impressive. They don't spend a lot of time thinking about how to fix something, they just jump on it and it is done.

Knowing how the coach was assembled is a huge help in getting right to the problem. They fixed stuff that has been a pain for a long time, including getting the door adjusted so my wife can open it with one hand. They also provided some excellent insights that 6 years of owning the coach had not revealed to me.

I've done a lot of work on the coach myself, so I know what I'm looking at when they went at it. They were also very interested in a few mods I've done to make the coach more livable.

No question I'll be taking it back for the upgrades.

Amen to North Trail screw ups.
I bought my 2007 Monaco Executive there and naturally had several small things wrong with it which they agreed to fix. Well they did not fix any of them permanently. They actually took parts off of repo's and put on mine saying new parts were not readily available.

Just a suggestion...

...but perhaps the moderator could separate this into two threads - one to grip about lousy service centers, and one to list good ones. Some of the other stuff about good places to camp etc. should be moved.

This was a helpful sticky at one point, but it has gotten bloated with other stuff and now is hard to search for good ones to the general forum.
