Need to replace the Oil Cooler on the Ford 460ci in my Holiday Rambler, any ideas. This is proving to be a real tough job. Even Ford Motors is no help

What about an after-market cooler? Try Summit Racing.

Is it a Ford part? Do you have a part number? Is there any reason you can't plumb in a generic remote oil cooler? It is realy easy to put the bypass line attachment between the oil filter and the motor. See below

I seriously doubt that is a stock ford part, Most likely an after market.

Find the Heavy Duty shops, odds are they have one with the same size, mountings, connections, ratings and such on the shelf.. Oil coolers,,, Well for any given size, I doubt if there are two models.

Ford does make a integral oil cooler on their heavy duty motor applications. Some of them were a manfold that was off the oil filter mounting and water circulated through it from the radiator. They had several different ways on doing it and that is why I need more info or a Ford part number. We race with Ford Boss 429 hemi motors and I have a lot of contacts for Ford parts.

The link in my previous post in this thread has an aftermarket oil cooler that can be used.

you can get aftermarket coolers in different types from several diffent places.
summit racing and Jegs will both have almost anything you will need in stock.

This is what I have, it is a small manifold just off the oil filter.

Due you need the round aluminum manifold that is between the oil filter and the motor or do you need the hose assembly that runs from that manifold to the lower radiator hose?

That system is used on a 1994 Ford F-150 with the 5.8 liter motor. You should be able to take the part into a Ford dealer parts and have them compare the manifold or the hose assemble to the one on that F-150. If not then let me know and we can go from there.
