Fluids for hydraulic levelers and for hydraulic slide outs

What is the difference between transmission fluid and transmission hydraulic fluid? Are they the same thing? I wondering if I can use transmission fluid for both the jacks and slide out reservoirs?

There is a slight difference in viscosity. For my HWH slide outs I only use HWH fluid because. I don't want to mix two type fluids and I don't want to take a chance on messing up any seals.
