Fluorescent lighting in bedroom
Lighting in bedroom just stopped working. Have 3way 12Vdc switch for the fluorescent lighting in Holiday Rambler Endeavor 2000. The 3way controls 3 different lights, entrance, kitchen, and bedroom. The 3way switch works for the entrance and the kicthen, but the one on the bedroom has no 12vdc on the on/off switch of the fluorescent fixture. Should have 12v on the black wire from the celling. I look at the 3way switch on the wall and there I have the 12v red wire in the midle and on each return side of switch have double blue wires. where can I find where the blue and the black wires are joinned together for the bedroom.

I would begin looking at/behind light fixtures.

Monaco used wire nuts on all the 12 volt light so it is possible that one came loose either on the + or - side. Check those and while you have the light down check voltage and ground. The also daisy chained the lights so it could have come loose on a previous light.

Another fellow in another thread showed replacing the fluorescents with strips of LED lights, clever, and cost effective, as long as you are comfortable making simple 12v connections

I would also 2nd the prior idea buy Icepyro to redo your fixtures into LED strips, much whiter lights and lower current draw. My only hesitation is due to my coach used Intellitec system, slightly worried about confusing the module if it does not see a flourescent bulb draw. Your 2000 model will have no problems at all.

led strip
will look into led conversion, found 18 inch 12v led fluorescent on amazon, that way will keep the same fixture. Thanks for everyone for helping out.

Here's what I did
- Removed the light and stripped the guts out of it.
- Cleaned everything really well and used acetone to make sure surface was clean.
- Bought a couple rolls of the LED ribbon light and wiring ends, all available on Ebay, did all of my lights for less then $100.
- Decided to put in 3 strips and a second switch. Attached the two outer strips to original switch and middle on to the new switch. That way I could have 0, 1, 2, or 3 strips on lights on, lots of flexibility in lighting.
- I did one to confirm what I wanted to do would work and then did 3 at a time.
- In my kitchen area above the sink there was a recessed light covered with a wood/plexiglass cover that actually contained 2 of the old fixtures, removed these completely and just attached ~6 ribbon light so a piece of plexiglass. This was easier but also by have the two fixtures to work with I could mass produce the change over.
Here are some pictures. The white is new light with all three strips on.

Just picked up an 06 Neptune and these ugly lights were my first order of business. Made some 1/2 oak planks stained to match and used a hole saw to make the holes. Turned out real nice, wasn't a hard mod and saves a bunch of power. I even kept one old light and pit one in the dark rear closet.

Brighter, lighter, and takes a lot less power. Love it
