Smile FMCA Michelin advantage program information (for those thinking about it)

Just bought 6 new tires from FMCA's Michelin advantage program.
I saved $537.60 for the six tires. I got the tires from Superior tire in Portland Oregon. I live in Tacoma Washington. I made the trip to Oregon for several reasons, not the least of which was to save on sales tax. The tax in Tacoma would have been $332.50. So all told, I saved $870.10. Michelin's advantage program was $3,509.94. With out the program the tires would have been $621.10 each. (Michelin's list price was $640) There was an additional $35 per tire for the Fed's. This purchase was well worth joining the FMCA.

The tires were 275/80R22.5 X LEZ LRH and were installed on my 2008 Monaco Diplomat 40skq. The tires only had 55000 miles on them and looked fantastic. The only issue with the tires was they were made in October of 2006. I had a few months left on the maximum ten year recommended replacement time by Michelin. I now figure about $50 a month put away for the next set in seven years.

I used Superior in Portland a few years ago for tires on the '02 Dutch Star. It was before the FMCA program by a short time. I got 4 275/70's and two 305/70's for about $3,300 out the door.
The Magna needs new tires but we have the SmarTire TPMS and I'm not sure Superior can/will work with them. Will probably end up going to the Les Schwab in Junction City when the time comes.

FMCA's program also covers auto tires. I saved $600 18 months ago.

I also had new Michelin X Line Energy Z's put on today thru the FMCA program, got mine done at TCI in San Antonio. I ordered 8 new Bilstein shocks and had them installed also, between the tirs and shocks it made a hugh difference in ride and handling.

I got Michelins for my Grand Cherokee and the coach. Saved a bundle. That and FMCA's Assist program (medical evacuation and coach return) make the annual $45 dues a great value. The included magazine subscription has some interesting stuff too

Couldn't agree more. I saved over $1200 on my coach tires. Just renewed with FMCA for 5 years for $160.
