Ok, I went ahead and installed the new fog lights. Then I searched the owners manual and could not anything about fog lights. So I read the owners manual again (should have it memorized soon, lol) and found that the driving lights switch is suppose to shine your headlights at 80% if you want to have your headlights on during the day. This uses less battery and makes your headlights last longer. this makes sense. However (there always seems to be a 'however' ) My driving lights switch doesn't work that way. I discovered, quite by accident, that if I have my headlights on bright, and only on bright, and turn my driving lights switch on, my fog lights come on. This does not seem right to me.
Here's my question(s) Does anyone elses work that way? Does anyone know how to get it to work like the owners manual says?
I do intend to install a separate fog light switch but the idea of running headlights at 80% during the day seems to me to be a good idea. Running fog lights and bright lights in the fog at the same time has never been a good idea for me.
