The drivers window and passenger door windows in my 2001 HR Imperial are fogged up. Efforts to clean them both out side and in side do no good What gives?

They are double pane glass with argon gas inside. When the seal leaks, you get a fog like hue. Have to remove and have resealed. Mine are doing it to, need to stop by a glass outfit near by and see if they can repair. Don't think i like them, they all do it after about 8 to 10 years...

Hi Grady If you should be heading south at some point, these people can fix your windows. suncoastdesigners.com I haven't been there, so I can not offer a personal recommendation, but since I have a couple of punctured windows myself, I just may have to pay them a visit at some point. I think that punctured windows are not a question of "if" but on "when", and I can only assume that it must be down to the rough and tumble that MH's gets subjected to. It certainly happens a lot more frequent here than in domestic houses.

You have 3 options.
1. Have a company like Suncoast designers (Hudson, FL) remove and repair.
2. Purchase a complete NEW window and replace.
3. contact local automotive glass company and see if they can remove and fix? They may recommend just replacing the glass with new glass. Only problem is you loose the "R" rating on the window. Personally I don't think the so-called "R" factor on these windows is worth talking about. No one has been able to give me the actual "R" factor on these windows. Mine are made by HEIR and they have not even answered repeated e-mails. I am in process of doing option 1 by a company in St Petersburg, FL. I have 5 other windows to be done. None of the others create a safety problem to see out of when moving. safe travels.. ed

Ours are 11+ years old now and no problems with any of them.
