Fresh water pump 12vdc?

1996 Monaco Signature, We are having a problem getting 12VDC to the pump, the pump works fine when I put 12VDC directly from a battery, it pumps and cuts off when it gets up to pressure. The problem we have is the pump switch above the sink on the power display does not send 12VDC to the pump, I don't think power is even getting to the switch. I don't have a schematic to the unit and i would assume it is coming from the fuse panel but I see nothing listed for fresh water pump, water pump or even pump. I checked the output of all the fuses and I had 12.87 - 13.24 VDC on on all fuses. The pump requires a a minimum of 15 AMPs for fuse protection. We would appreciate any information. If anyone has or knows of a manual or a schematic to my coach would be deeply appreciated. A&K Sixpence

Do you have multiple switches that control the pump.

If so you probably have some sort of latching device that will let each switch send a signal to start the pump. What this does is enable only 1 (+) larger gauge wire to feed the pump.

I have a resettable fuse (circuit breaker) in my rear run bay. It provides power to the pump. I had a problem with my wet bay heater, it uses the same type of fuse/system. It turned out the fuse was loose, it was mounted on a buss bar type system with a number of fuses. The fuses were located in the back passenger side electrical bay. Your system may be different.

Almost all pumps come with an inline fuse from the pump builder. Check the first foot or so of wire directly at the pump. AND most are buried in a harness.

Good Luck
