Freshwater drain valve location
I have a 2003 Safari Sahara. I am needing to replace the water pump, and need to drain the water. According to my manual it depicts that there is a freshwater drain at the service center where all the other valves are located, ie black and grey water drains etc...However, physically there is not one. I have gone under the RV and looked for the drain and cannot locate anything to drain the tank. The service center panel has an opening which I accessed to get to the water pump, and I see nothing there to drain the water from the tank. I do not want to run the pump in order to drain the tank.
I have called Monaco and due to change of ownership and age of the RV they do not have a clue where the water drain is???? It appears to me that Monaco forgot to install the water drain at the service panel, where their manual states it is...
I need HELP!!! Pleeeese!!! Monty

Welcome to the forum ! Joe will be along soon to give you the official welcome, and remind you to "keep her between the ditches"
Can you physically see your fresh water tank?

Do you really need to drain the tank? A pair of vice grips on the line just before the pump should isolate it without losing any water. Or a cone shaped plug at the ready when you disconnect the line should minimize water loss. If you have a Shur-Flo like mine it was easy to make a slip on plug but it can get a little wetter than my other suggestions.

Wherever your water tank is located, you should have a drain valve to drain the tank.

I have a 2011 Knight and the drain is on the floor next to the front of the tank. Look under you motorhome and you will see a drain pipe.

OK Ben, here goes!
Hi ! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined the gang!
I'm really surprised the the freshwater drain valve in not in the wet bay. Mine is on the bottom right of the bay. The valve is there and then the pipe goes down through the bottom.
Keep her between the ditches!
Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!
