fridge 12v supply

Hi to all. Would anyone have a clue where the fuse or breaker for the fridge 12 v is? Fridge went out. Turns out I have no 12v at the board. Leads going into the wall by the control board but can't tell after that.

Have you checked that the battery isolation switch is on? It's usually near the entrance and is for storing RV. Fuse for refrigerator is usually with all the other house functions, interior lights, water pump, furnace, etc.

Would it happen to be a NORCOLD with a little black box with a red light on it?

There should be a 12 volt fuse in the main house fuse panel. Mine is located in the rear bedroom in a cabinet next to the Main Circuit Braker Panel.

Different year and model, but my OE refrigerator 12v feed goes through a type 2 auto-resetting circuit breaker in the front distribution panel, under the floor beneath the driver's seat. The circuit is fed from the large coach battery positive terminal in the center of the control board.

No idea what year, make or model of coach you have, so hard to help. But on our '06 Dynasty, the 12 volts for the refrigerator comes from a fuse in the rear run box. And it is powered from the battery side of the "salesman switch" AND the battery cutoff switch. So it's one of those ALWAYS hot loads.

A GFI outlet has nothing to do with the 12 v supply to the refrigerator.

Had problems with no 12 v earlier this year with mine. Found a fuse in the printed circuit behind the ref accessible from the out side.
Hope this helps

Ditto on the norcold for me. They installed this device in my unit in 2013 as a bandaid to prevent overheating which had caused some fires. Mine went bad. A simple call to norcold and I had the device and installation was easy. They may make you go to a authorized norcold dealer but it would be covered under warranty. The folks at Norcold seemed eager to correct. Maybe to prevent liability??

If you have a large fuse panel below the driver in the outside compartment, take the cover off and see if you can find the fuse shown.

https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_n...=signal+tracer

I'm going to put myself out of a job if I keep posting this. If you have a signal tracer, put the signal injector on the wire that is dead. Then use the sniffer. Had you done this the noise would have been picked up in the fuse block. Then touching fuses would have sorted it out quickly. These are amazing tools and the price is so low now that everyone should have one. They are easier to use than a voltmeter.
