Front A/C won’t kick on and 4 button thermostat lost heat pump and furnace options.

Hello I know what most are going to say get rid of the 4 button. Someday I will. Weird thing has happened the rear thermostat works fine I have heat pump air and furnace. The front one I lost my furnace option and heat pump and the ac won’t kick on. I checked the 5 amp fuse under the cover on both. Any ideas.

Are you saying you have 2 thermostats ?
If you do , try swapping the thermostats and see if the problem moves
with the thermostat .
That should let you know if it is the thermostat or something else .

Here's a link that tells you how to reset a 4 button thermostat. I'd try that.

The next troublesome area is those little phone type connectors .
Many times just messing with them will cause a temporary fix , inspecting
and cleaning might be a good idea .
If you can get on the roof you could try swapping the control boards .
It would be a good idea to photo a picture of the dip switches positions
because I believe you will need to reposition their settings to match the
air cond it is located in .

Any chance you have had mice ? A recent owner had he data wires ( phone )
chewed and had to run a new wire and relocate the thermostat .

Mine did almost exactly this. I reset t-stats, checked all phone connectors with no help. Then my buddy turned off the main power disconnect for the house batteries, waited 10 seconds and turned it back on and everything re-booted and worked perfectly.

Hey, my front A/C went out this spring also , turned out it was the circuit board in the main power box . It was the Intellitec board . It’s still available on line for about $200 . Mine is a 2007 Holiday Rambler

Yeah but if the intellitec board is bad you will still need a new one even with
new A/Cs .

Agent Orange , how did you determine the intellitec board was bad ?

I believe it does have one but I'm not sure .

Up above the filter is a panel that you can remove and then access the
wiring .
If you are comfortable you can measure to see if 120 volts is present .

Does your thermostat light up , it must have 12 volts to operate the
thermostat and controls .

So you must have 12v and 120 v present at the wiring .
