Front Entry Step Cover

I am looking for drawings on how the front step cover for a 2004 Holiday Rambler Navigator operates and is assembled. My step cover every once in a while has its hardware come loose. Last week a bolt sheared off so I am now concerned it is not aligned correctly. Any help would be appreciated.

If your step cover is air and I think it is the mac valve that opens and closes it has two adjusting screws in the top, it sounds like yours needs to be adjusted for a softer close and open.
The Mac should be on the passenger side just in front of the front wheel. This is what it looks like.

Thanks Walt for this guidance, I will now plan to spend some time getting this adjusted best for the opening and closing when back together. Have you seen published the assembly instructions for the frame which has the deck mounted to it?

Yes it is it has two small adjusting screws on the end one for opening and the other for closing.

Don't think the valve as such has an adjustment for the opening and closing speed. This should normally be adjusted on the exhaust ports of the valve. There is a screw on each exhaust so you just close it down some to slow it down.

Replaced ours(2000 Sig) last March. MAC valve pt# 45A-AA2-DFEA-1BA. Purchased from Hartfield Automation, 952-974-2500, from their Plano,TX warehouse, delivered via ups to frt door for <$45.

Here's a pic of my old stair well cover MAC valve and the box the new one came in. Notice the adjustment screw heads.

on my 2007 endeavor, the step cover has become separated from the push bar that opens and closes it. The plastic hardware is broken. I can't find a way to reattach the push bar on both sides of the frame that moves in and out. Any help would be appreciated
