Fuel Filters

Does anyone know what fuel filters should be on a 2004 Holiday Rambler Imperial with a 400hp ISL ? The primary on mine is a 2 mic same as the secondary . I would think it should be about 20 mic! Thanks for any info!

If you call Cummins with your VIN number they will tell you what filters you are supposed to have.

Your owners manual should list all the filters used in your mh including your fuel filters. Your microns sound too small and could be impeding fuel flow. I do know that the 2004 Cummins ISM-500 uses a 30 micron primary and a 10 micron secondary which is pretty standard

I looked up an ISL engine filters in a 2008 Dynasty in an Owners Manual and it calls for a FS1003 filter for a primary which is a 14 micron and a secondary filter FF5636 which is a 2 micron. It does not seem normal to use a 2 micron primary as also a 2 micron seconday because that 2 micron primary is going to block up real fast.

Thanks for the good info jlfbatonrg, Cummins gave me the correct filter numbers. I don't know the history on the coach and the owners manual listed the motor as a ISC not the ISL that is in it . It did have the wrong primary filter on it. Same thread but wrong mic.

Timex. What microns did you end up with in the primary and secondary. Most of the time the primary filter type is left up to the motorhome manufacture because it is not part of the motor.

My rig documentation states that I have an ISC, but the engine is an ISL. So I'm wondering: If you call Monaco and give them the VIN, what's the possibility that even they will "get it right" ???

FYI, my primary (currently) is FS1242 (NAPA 533242) and secondary FS1022 (NAPA 3422). Good news is that it's running OK. 60,000 miles.

Mike , It had a NAPA 3783 2 mic primary, and it calls for a Fleetguard F1242 which looks to be 25 mic and the NAPA interchange 3242 looks to be 10 mic.

Robi , They told me the same filters you are using and my secondary filter was that. My primary was a NAPA 3783.
