Fuel Gauge not working

My fuel gauge only registers 3/4 of a tank when full this just started after sitting it goes to 1/2 full. While driving I get readings all over but never goes to empty has anyone had this problem.

rdkng88....Every so often, the Centroid sending units will go bonkers on these things. Centroid claims it's caused by algae. I adjusted mine when it was new so the gauge would read more accurately. About five years later, mine went wild. I readjusted it and it has been fine ever since. If you need to know how to adjust the unit, send me a PM and I'll give you the info.
