Fuel mileage 2002 Knight with 8.3 Cummins and 6 speed Allison

Hi there!
I just purchased the above mentioned coach and haven’t yet taken possession and am just assuming what the fuel economy is likely going to be. I’m bracing for the worst but hoping for the best.
Can anyone with a similar coach provide any feedback? Mine is 38’.

All depends
Weather, heat, cold, wind, rain and snow affect mileage
Also, hills and mountains

My 2020 Horizon can get 7.4 max to 6 minimum.
Maybe less if it’s raining and I’m climbing, like 3-4

If I drive over 65mph, drop it by about .5-1mpg

My guess in a 2002 you will get 8-9 avg. no pollution junk on it.

I think I get the best mileage on here. My exhaust is highly modified.

Completely stock 2000 ISC 8.3 330hp, 37', scale weight averages close to 27k.
Gets 8.5-9 mpg towing Jeep Wrangler, 9.5 not towing.
Cruise usually set to around 63 mph. This is a combination of flat and mountainous terrain, averaged for the last 10k miles.
The sweet spot seems to be about 1,650 to 1,750 rpm.
Fuel economy really drops off over 65mph on any coach.

90,000 miles and our average is 8.51 mpg. We have gotten as high as 10 and as low as 7.5 on a tank depending on the terrain and the wind direction.
