Fuel Mileage

We have a 2005 Holiday Rambler PST Imperial with a 400 ISL turbo.
My wife could not part with her 2007 Saturn Sky red line roadster which is not tow able on 4 wheels 2 wheels or a tow dolly,so we bought a 14' car trailer that weighs about 1400 lbs and the car weighs 3000 lbs.
We are headed to OK from Ca about 1400 miles.
Any idea what kind of fuel mileage I will get?
We had the coach serviced last week including all filters. The coach has 37000 miles on it. Any input would be great because this is our first long trip.
Thank You

It seems a general rule is that most DPs get about 6.5-7.5 mpg. I have a Jeep GC and a 400 hp CAT I get 7-7.5 mpg.

I have a 400 ISL and tow Chevy Equinox. Between 7.5 and 9 depends where I'm traveling.

We tow a Dodge Durango and on long trips we get between 6.5 and 7.0 mpg. If I pay attention to my driving, I have been able to get 7.5. I plan on 600 miles between fill ups.

Alot depends on if you are driving in the mountains or flat ground. Speed is a factor as well. With my Imperial ISC 350 (33000 lb. coach) 4500 lb. toad I average around 8 mpg., if I stay at around 60 mph. If I get up around 70 mph my mileage goes down. When in the mountains I usually get down as low as 6 mpg if there is miles of climbing hills.
Your coach with the ISL should not be too much different, just depends on terrain and speed.

Pretty much same as Tony. Up to about 8.5 without towing. 425 Cat. But typically about 7.5

Flew to SLC recently and picked up our new to us 400ISL. Drove it light and no toad back to Yuma (down hill). 8.5 running 70+ most of the time.

Heading to Cortez, Co (up hill) soon, loaded down with Equinox behind. Hoping for 7.5 @ 63mph.

This is about the most honest fuel mileage topic I have read yet.

Not come across negative at all but I wonder when I see the mileage posts, especially when folks have large pushers, why one cares about what the mileage is? I hope that folks didn't spend the money to get the Coach of their dreams and then sit home because of the concern of what the fuel is going to cost. I know fuel cost will never keep me from enjoying the traveling and meeting great folks out there

Enjoy your travels everyone!

I care about my mileage. It can tell me if something is seriously wrong with my engine. If I should be getting 8 and I'm only getting 3, then I am going to try and find out why.
