Fuel/Water Separator

So it has brought to my attention that my fuel/water separator is not where it should be in my coach. I've recently seen some videos of a similar coach showing me that I'm missing something.

Two questions. Why would the entire assembly be gone????

And does anyone have any photos of their similar coach that might give me some ideas of what all is exactly missing?

1997 Signature... 8.3 cummins.

Wade,
I believe that the older coaches use some sort of Raycor type water separator that were prone to leaks and more difficult to service.

Here is a link that might shed some light

I'm fairly sure this is where what I'm missing, goes... those hoses are actually hooked together.

That is the system that I replaced in our coach. We replaced it on the advice of Mike Canter because of the problem he had with that system.

It looks as though maybe a previous owner had a failure of that unit and just removed it instead of replacing it with something else.

I think it would be a good idea to get something there to protect your engine.
Iver.
