What is the engine and Trans combination in your rig? If it's an Alison the shift pad only shows the gear selected.

Hi ! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined the gang!

Congrats on the new rig! Sorry I'm not familiar with that rig. Keep her between the ditches!

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

R-Vision was made by Monaco? I did not know that.
Also more info needs to be supplied by the OP so we can help.

Turn your headlights on and look at your instrument panel. Try turning the instrument dimmer lights up and down. Worth a shot.

I asked an Allison rep. at the REV products Maintenance Session last year if I could replace my shift pad which is the same as yours with one like JohnBoyToo's which shows the gear the tranny is actually in next to the gear it will automatically shift to as the shift points are reached. He said that the newer shift pads are incompatible with the older transmissions. I didn't have an opportunity to question him further.
I am kinda bummed as I have driven school buses in the mountains with both types of shift pads and really like the new ones. It is very useful to know what gear you are in in determining when and if you need to manually downshift to control your speed going downhill. It is also useful to know what gear you are in when climbing a steep grade to allow you to preselect the same or even a lower gear when cresting the grade and descending down the backside.

the coach was made before monaco bought r-vision but navistar is doing the recalls now. coach has an 8.1 vortec with an allison 1000 tranny. there is no keypad, it is supposed to show up on the digital display in the dash cluster. the display is fine, not difficult to read, no bad pixels so it just dent have the indicator on it.
thanks for the help though, i appreciate all of the answers
