gen slide

I had it in for gen service last week, now it won't do any thing when I hit the switch. New to this coach, so don't know where to start.

Welcome!

Would make it much easier if you included a little more info... such as make/model/year of coach, as the same for the gen-set, including symptoms, what was done for service, etc. Without that, everyone is pretty-much guessing what you have and how to help.

There's sure to be someone come along soon that can provide you with some support then.

1. Have you tried from the start switch on the generator or just the one inside.
2. Has it been run since the service? Push the bottom of the start switch for a full minute or so to run the fuel pump & fill the fuel filter. During this time listen for a "clicking" sound which is the fuel pump. Sometimes if you listen closely, you can hear a slight change in the tone of the clicking when the fuel fills the filter & line up to the injector pump.
3. If no response whatsoever, check the fuses which are under the access panel next to the start switch on the generator.
4. If still "no joy", check the hot stud and ground stud which are on the rear of the generator box. Be careful as this is hot all the time.

I'm guessing it's his generator slide that won't come out. Maybe it's the generator that won't start but the thread title says "gen slide".

Great observation Tinstar. I obviously didn't retain that important info.

I thought he was referring to the slide when I first saw the title of the thread, but after Steve talked about the genny not starting, OP text could be interpreted as genny not starting.

Now a wild ass guess, if it's the slide that is not working. Some coaches won't let you operate slide without parking brake set.

Take it back to wherever you had it serviced.
