Gen starts/stops on AGS but not on other switches

So, I have been battling this for a little bit now. Not a major concern but, I am the type of guy that likes everything to function as it should. here is the issue:

All functions on the Gen set operates as it sure when using the AGS. However, I cannot get either the dash switch or the bedroom rocker switch to start or stop the gen. I have read that there is a plug on the curb side of the gen that sometimes causes this issue. I have looked all over this thing and cannot find a plug anywhere. I have pulled the loom off and did notice a few wires that do not go to anything and thinking that maybe they should? When I start the gen, both dash and bedroom rockers light up indicating that the gen is running. They just do not function. Any ideas? It is a Onan quiet diesel 7500 watt gen. Coach is a 96 Monaco Dynasty. Thank you in advance!

On my '01 Exec if you choose AGS Start/Stop on the Trace inverter panel, none of the manual switches will operate.
I gave up the automatic feature, but could switch it on and set parameters for genset operation, if necessary.
