I had the same problem as Jim my power would go off for no reson and had to flip the battery off switch after 3 or 4 time one time it went out and nothing would work. I had to bypass the relay in the power box on the outside driver side it has a small computor chip on it.and went you reset the battery switch this is what you reset. Has no problem after that monaco said it is ok bypass

Marcel, hope you can help with a picture or description of how you did what you did. Mine has only happened once and not since.

I thought that if this happened in the original post, he may think the generator is not putting out electric, when it is really the battery switch. That is as a SWAG, I suggested he try it!

Be sure to check for an open ground on the genset side. With shore power you are grounding to the receptacle you plug into. On the genset it may be an independent ground at the x-fer switch.

First, thanks to all who replied. I was able to get back to the storage facility today and check out some of the advice. It is great to be able to tap such a great resource of knowlege and experience. It is also humbling - This fall I hired my grandson to clean and polish my coach. In his quest to do a great job he rolled out the generator and cleaned everywhere. He must of tripped the gen on/off switch to the off position. I never thought about that since I had never used the switch and really didn't know it was there until it was pointed out to me in this thread - THANKS AGAIN.
