Generator start

Can anyone tell me which battery bank starts my 7.5 onan generator on a 2003 holiday rambler imperial

Ours also starts from the chassis (engine start) batteries. The theory is in case you run down the house batteries you can still start the generator or main engine.
But, I've seen more than one coach with the generator wired from the house batteries.

Turn off one of the battery switches, there should be 2 near the batteries.

If the gen still starts then it starts off the batt sw that is still on.

I would repeat with the other sw just to prove

My '08 model came wired to the house batteries. I changed it to the chassis batteries in order to make the AGS more useable.

Chassis battery for me also.

The switch on the dash that combines both sets will start the genset if you get stuck and the others are still up.
