Generator started by itself

I usually have. The opposite problems with my generator. Mine wouldn't start from the dash switch. This forced me to go outside pull generator forward and start it.

So I took the center dash panel apart and the switch just fell apart. Contacts and springs fell to the floor. Just lucky they didn't get shorted out and start a fire. Also found some half a.s wiring on the cigarette lighter/power outlet in that same panel. Time for me to fix it what we like to call "the right way "

I just turn off the battery disconnect if the coach is going to sit for more than a little while.

Drive safe

Found my mysterious start ups was due to a 5 yr old grandkid playing with my dash buttons. He’d push them till he heard noise or saw it light up. Discovered it was funny to start the genset and then run off. Figured it out by hiding in the coach when he thought I was gone. Cured the problem by temporarily re-wiring a car horn to the gen switch, horn was installed inside under the dash. The look on his face was priceless when he snuck in and pushed it. Feed him lots of candy and returned him to the daughter. (You might think this was cruel, but what happens when he pulls out the safety block under the parking brake air release knob and the coach starts rolling as he jumps out??)
