Is there a second start switch? If so try it.

Not an expert in these but one thing I know that'll do it is oil pressure switch or low oil

My 7500 would shut down just above a half tank of fuel.
Thats the first thing I would check. I wasted a day trying everything else before I figured that out. I thought they would run until 1/4 tank but not mine.

Did you look for error codes on the generator? Flashing lights. The codes are listed in the manual. If no codes is his Inverter auto gen start? If the batteries are at full charge or at the charge setting for the gen start it will shut down the generator.

If it slow on fuel, it shouldn't even start, let alone run with your finger on the switch.

Look for a oil level or pressure switch.

Mine would not stay running when low on antifreeze.

Mine shuts down or won't even start if the coach is below a quarter tank of fuel or if the generator low on oil. The fact that it wont start may be a good thing, it is trying to prevent damage to the unit.

This is a classical Onan failure - assuming the MH gas level is not too low. One solution is to take it to the nearest Cummins-Onan $ervice center, but before that, get on this forum and explore. They are really good with all Onan products:

Mine did that after I had a service done on it.
They didn't put enough antifreeze back in it so it would keep shutting down.
Check all of your fluids. The overflow tank is obvious but the actual cap for the radiator us under the plate with the switch on it. You have to remove the plate to get to it.

Step 1. Read posts #7 and #8

You need a logical and coherent diagnostic strategy.

Retrieve any and all fault codes because that will most likely guide you on the correct diagnostic path and a quick resolution to your problem.

and as stated don't get lost on the low fuel/no fuel because as stated in post #8 ......If it it's out of fuel?... it's out of fuel...it's not going to start and stall repeatedly if out of fuel.

You shrould be able to retrieve your fault codes as seen in this video ...even if not the exact same genny as your unit.

Happy Trails
