Genset fuel tap location on main tank... Standard or does ot vary

Just wondering if MH engineers have a standard level where they tap the make fuel tank for the genset fuel line. I was just reading about exercising the gens to prevent buildup on the windings and figured I would give my unit a good 20-30 minute run at half load. The gen cut off after only 2 minutes of run time and I got three flashes only on the rocker arm switch. I am hoping that it is just starved for fuel because I am below half tank on fuel and had heard that the they typically will tap the main tank at the half full level for some reason.

Never had problems with it before.

The mh manufacturers make it that way so you do not run the fuel tank empty while sitting still. I did not like that so I removed the pickup and added a longer tube. Mine would cutoff around half tank as yours does while driving and go over hill and fuel in tank would slosh around. I fixed that and haven't had anymore problems since.

broadrun......The pickup for the generator is built into the unit on top of the tank on the driver's side. In the past, some have ordered new pickup tubes, removed the old one and installed a longer new one. It can be done without removing the tank.
