Getting Readyto Pull the Trigger on a Diplomat 38PDQ!
Hello Monaco Owners!
Been searching high and low for a long time now for a replacement coach after selling my older Class A a few months back.
Now, I am getting very serious about a 2005 Diplomat 38 PDQ and would like any input from those who have experience with this particular coach.
This one is immaculate, been stored inside when not in use, 55,000 miles and has a Roadmaster RR chassis. Upgraded TVs, flooring, all maintenance records, etc.
Don't know the difference between this rig and, say, a Dynasty but I think the latter is a higher end coach.
If you could provide any feedback, experiences, thoughts, etc. on this coach I would much appreciate it. It is a large purchase and anything is appreciated!
Thanks to all in advance.

Well here goes, IMHO the Dynasty is the equivalent of a Cadillac, the diplomat is a Chevy Impalla. We have a 2011 cayman 36 ft which is the equivalent of a Chevy Malibu with all the options. We have a RR8R Chassis which means 8 out board airbags. I could be wrong but the older 36/38 footers had a 4 bag system [ read not as smooth handling] We love our coach [3rd class A] but it needs a little suspension work to be a cadillac. So bottom line, if this coach suits your needs from a floor plans standpoint it will serve you well and is a great quality product. A new set of shocks and steering control bar will make it a great driver.

The diplomat has the eight airbag chassis.
This is a well respected chassis and is solid.

I have a 2001 diplomat 38A. We love it. I put 30K trouble free miles on it the past 2 years. I'm leaving Saturday for a 8 month trip to the northwest. I have no doubt this rig will do fine. The dynasty is a higher class rig. But both models are very dependable.
Your chassis has 8 air bags and drives very smooth.
Good luck.

If that coach is located near Moorpark, CA and belonged to the former Diplomat Don, now Dutchstar Don, you have found a keeper. Don made many upgrades to his coach and kept it in outstanding condition.

No, it is not Don's, unfortunately, since his sounded very nice. Did he sell it yet?
The input has been great from everyone. I also found a nice Country Coach from 2003 that is also very clean.
This is an extremely tough decision to make!
Thanks again to everyone.
