Ghost in the (awnings) machine

I just installed a 9" screen android single din navi/stereo in my 2003 Signature Commander. I am hooking up to my home wifi to download navi maps.
I don't know if this is interference or what, but my driver's side window awnings have gone out twice in as many days, while parked in front of my house and fooling with the radio. The remote works and brings them in. I have no idea if there is an actual switch anywhere. Any ideas? I used the same power wiring as the Sony I replaced, which worked fine.
Also, are the awnings locked out when underway? In case it is a ghost.

That is odd. Our Girard window awnings are controlled by large white rocker switches under the cabinets and our main awning is wireless remote controlled.
They are powered by 110V AC.
I would assume they are locked out with the ignition on but I need to look at the wiring diagrams.

I'm interested in your 9" screen. Did you install it where the Aladdin/back up monitor was located? Can you post a picture?

I just dropped it at storage. I'll stop tomorrow and take a picture. My Sony single din (regular car) stereo is right over the Sony original screen where the Aladdin info shows. I put this one (single din) right in the same radio spot, just above the Aladdin Sony. I wanted the original screen to display all the coach info and this new one navigation. They make 7" android units that the screen slides out and flips up, with normal looking car stereo face under the screen. The one I bought was very cheap, a tiny bit over $ 100. You can buy a name brand for $300 or more. I have a chinese Joying double din in my Rav 4 for 5 or 6 years. Works great, backup camera, navi, android, google, bluetooth phone. This one came with a backup camera, as well, night vision.

Here is my new android head unit.
Before and after. Because I went with such a big screen, I was okay with it sticking out 1/2". You can't tell, unless you look from the steps, because the silver bracket shows. I am going to cover it with a little piece of black plastic or just paint it black.
I have SeeVision, which means I have a camera select button up next to the radio, which is partially covered. The power for the original Sony Aladdin screen is under the screen. Because it sticks out, both buttons are easy to reach and use. The screen makes it impossible to see the very top of the Aladdin display, but all you can't see is the title, the top line, which is just the name of the screen you chose with the joystick.
I have a backup camera full time in front of wheel, which I want. I have my giant navi/radio, and I can still have the aladdin info screens. I can bring up AV on the Android screen and see the Aladdin screen and the backup/turn signal cameras. Best of all worlds.
