Girard Awning Runaway operation

My awning has extended itself twice without any input from me. This has only happened in a campground, never at home with shore power or generator running. The last time this happened it extended into a tree trunk. Luckily I was present to stop it before any damage occurred. Is this a known problem? Manual says 400mh operating freq.is some other source interfering with my receiver? Must I now. trip the breaker every time I leave when on power and an obstruction is present? Thanks, Dave

On our rig the awnings all have a main power switch right beside the interior controls, I turn it off unless I'm deploying the two main or three window awnings. Then I use the remotes to do what ever I want with the awnings.

Sounds to me like someone near by has a Girard awning.

I wonder if he may be wondering what the **** is going
on with his Girard .

We have a Girard but we haven't had that happen ,
it does come in when the wind gets up .
