Girard Awnings

I need a little help with the Girard Awning on my 2006 Monaco Signature. I had replaced the batteries in the remotes while I was at home and all was well. I am on road and now trying to extend the awning and they now not working. Have read the manual, no help. I would not think I would need to reprogram the remotes? I tried the switches and still not working. I am connected to 50 amp power service. Any suggestions would be helpful, Thanks

Check your GFI breakers... sounds like you do not have 120V power to them.

Do you have one or two main awnings on the passenger side?
Do you also have Girard awnings over the entry door and windows?
Are any of the awnings working?
Are there also Intellitec pushbuttons for the awnings in addition to the Somfy remote, and do they operate with the Intellitec buttons?

What I'm getting at is the same thing Ivy pointed out. Girard awnings use 120V AC power and it sounds like yours are not getting power.
The control box for your main awnings is in the front most over head cabinet in the living room passenger slide out. (They usually keep the owners manuals in this cabinet.)
You will need to remove a carpeted cover to gain access and test for power.
But first I agree with Ivy. Check all your breakers and GFCI breakers.

Thanks guys for your feedback, sorry for the late reply, we had poor internet service where we we at. After locating the control box where you described, I found inside the one that the one of the black wire had come out of the wire nut. I didn't get a chance to verify if it was power or ground. However problem resolved. This is the second time I have reached out and the folks here have some great problem solutions and in a very timely manner. Thanks again.

The terminal strip in my control box has spring-tabs holding the wires, rather than screw terminals. That surprised me, never having seen that type of terminal used with 110vAC.

I had been having intermittent problems with my G2000. After calling Girard and received advice on removing the current limiter box from the circuit. The intermittent problems continued.

Then I discovered something else: One of the wires was not securely fastened, sort of pressed in. (Note the third tab from the top in the picture. The white "T" which controls the spring terminalis all the way to the left, as if it wasn't holding its wire. Note the blue one. It wasn't.) I removed and re-connected wire; no problems so far.

Girard also advised that the strain-relief retaining nuts at the bottom of the box should be tightened to avoid cables from pulling on the wires.
Tech said "finger tight" is enough, no wrench necessary.
