Glendenning Electric Cord reel

My electric cord is getting Ragged and I have been considering replacing it. On my 2000 Dynasty the reel is on the driver side all the way back and pulls cord in from side. I have not torn into removing the cord to replace as it is tight all around . I know it is on a glendenning retractor.

Has anyone changed out the cord and can you give me a hint.

Hi Trace! Just wondered exactly what is wrong with your reel? I haven't replaced the reel but did have to replace the power cable. I seem to remember that the access door is on the back side of the box, accessible from the engine compartment. The tension on the cord is adjustable.

Oops! I misread your post!

I replaced my cord with a 40' so I would have plenty at any campground without using an extension.

I bought the cord from Glendinning, part # 04139-LVR-40.
