In the bedroom, there is a section of the wall "paneled" with carpet just above floor level. The carpet is installed so that the edges are caught under trim and I assume it was attached to the wallboard with some sort of adhesive. The adhesive has turned loose and the carpet is bowed out from the wall. I'm thinking "sawzall", but the wife suggested we try injecting adhesive through the carpet somehow. Has anyone experienced this loose-carpet syndrome and how did you effect repair?

You might try going to one of your local fishing stores and buy the large syringe that they sell for inflating worms. Use a 3M adhesive and inject in several locations and then apply pressure. I did a similar repair on a piece of carpet glued to the roof of a truck.

Don't know about worm syringes - but what about the turkey basting syringes that you use when you inject a turkey with the flavoring before people deep fry those big birds?

PS.. The turkey basting syringes may also be called "flavor injectors" ...syringe has such a negative thought - so they call it an injector!

Ok, I know y'all are being serious here, but I just had to say this thread brought a smile to my lips. I've been lying in bed sick for most of the past week; so bad I haven't even felt like firing up the ol' computer to look at irv2, if that tells ya anything.

So today I drag myself up for a little while, and first thing I see is a post about "inflating worms", and that was the best shot of medicine I've had so far. I'm not a fisherman (I love to catch fish, but I hate 'fishing'), so I'm sure it's a common tactic but one I'm not familiar with. All I could think of was the opening few minutes of the movie 'Shark Tale' with the worm that is holding his breath for as long as he could.
