Got my 07 Safari Simba today :)
and I love it.........I've read several postings regarding the ride of the 4 bag roadmaster chasis.......well....................not to fault anything........but if you think it is bad.......go drive a gas motorhome........The Safari rides about 100 times better then my workhorse chasis Southwind........it was a great motorhome and never let me down, but it's the difference between driving a truck and a car........I can't believe the difference in noise.......can actually hear the radio. I drove it 200 miles home today and can't wait to drive it again. Thanks for all the input leading up to my purchase.....by the way, I bought it from Tom Lindstrom RV in Moorpark CA. Tom was great to deal with...i'd highly recommend him. Thanks again.

Does your Simba possibly have the factory ride enhacement kit on it? I know one of the others was saying his had it too and rides much nicer than the normal RR4R Chassis............if so added bonus for you!! I went from a Ford gas F53 to the RR4R and there wasnt much of a ride difference, noise difference was obvious.
Congrats and enjoy your new rig! I hope it brings you and your family many happy trouble free miles!

SuperCub, congrats on your new coach. Don't want to burst your bubble, but would be a good idea to check the Chassis forum - Roadmaster here on IRV2 and look at the thread about trailing arms. Hope yours has already been replaced, but if not, get it done for safety sake.

Hello Supercub,
Well I do not know how one would determine if you had it or not, I would imagine it would be on the features list of your unit, or possibly you could contact Monaco and find out?
Anyhow Jim Stewart on this site has a 2005 Safari Cheetah 38PDQ and his came with the factory ride enhancement kit, it included larger bags, etc. I believe he said it was something like a $700 option. If you PM him he may be able to assist on how to determine and what to look for??
Enjoy your rig.
Tony2
P.S. Update your signature and show off that new rig!!

Reading thru the archives, I see it listed as an option for the Cheetahs, but not the Simba......I just read the original sticker on mine too.....and it's not listed, so I'm sure I don't have it..........but I might install the Source Engineering HEK one of these days......I'll have to see.
