Gray Tank Overflow Issue

Hi All,

Well, slowly getting my issues resolved. Thanks for all of the help.

The current issue is that when the gray tank filled to 100%, instead of water backing up into the shower, it started leaking into the wet bay. Luckily, i caught it and cleaned it up quickly, but it appears as though the collar at the juncture of the tank and the main PVC feed is cracked. Is this reparable?

Many thanks again.

When mine did this a few months back, and RV tech told me it is s very common thing, hard to repair and to not fill it full.
I tried rain gutter calling as he recommended, I think it worked at slowing it, but not entirely stopping the leak at the inlet.

If you can reach the crack with your hand, try some Flex Seal Tape. Should work fine since there is no pressure forcing the water out.

I was going to suggest gorilla or
eternabond tape but flex seal would
probably work just as well .
Actually the eternabond might be
tough to remove if you think that
be necessary in the future .

If you can reach it, JB Weld. I accidently broke of the nipple to my radiator on my diesel F-250 that went to the overflow tank. Ford tech said JB Weld it back on. Put a nail through the hole so it wouldn't get plugged up, JB Weld around the crack, waited a few, removed the nail, waited a couple hours, put the hose back on, 5 years later still holding and the person who bought the truck has had no problems. That made a believer out of me.

As Joliet Jake would say "Strong stuff"
