Buddy Gregg MH added insulation in our rear cap last month, but it did nothing. They will install the grill early next month when they repair the roof cracks (all four corners).

The mobil RV paint company started the fiberglass repair & paint Friday -- Should finish Monday afternoon -- It took awhile for Monaco to approve this company to do the job -- Better than taking it to a dealer & letting it sit there for a month, -- Bill Willard

I Just sent Monaco an e-mail about getting a vent. I'm a couple months out of warranty, so we'll see what happens.

BTW - What is the grill made of? Plastic?

Tks

Bill

My service center is ordering the parts now. (Vent and Fan). My question is what controls the fan that they put in? Is it on all the time the engine is running or activated by temperature?

Freemn2 -- I installed the fan, & not being a mechanic in any way, I wired the fan using a switch in the bay behind the battery compartment-- I made the mounting plate out of a heavy guage aluminum plate(used a Roto-Zip to cut circle hole)& used an All Thread rod from the bottom of the plate to the m/h frame, below -- The previous photo of this install was made before it was completed,& I would post a photo of the completed install, if only I knew how -- Sacs,Mama, I know,I know, it`s been posted here many times how to do that, but you`ve both met me, & should know that I`m not that up on "New Fangled Things" -- Bill Willard

So did Monaco authorize and send you the fan along with the vent?

Ya know, Bill, if you'd bought a Dip, instead of a Camelot, you'd have gotton a BIG fan back there, along with a large rear grill. Saved yourself a lot of trouble and a few grand, besides.

Just kidding. Nice job. Grill looks good. I'll bet if you checked around at some truck repair shops, you could find a thermal switch that turns the fan on for you when the engine compartment gets too hot.

Hi Folks,
Just a short note. My wife and I and Mom2mastiffs Karen and Jeff made a surprise attack on Bill and his wife yesterday afternoon. They let us right in! We had a long and pleasant conversation about motorhomes and MH related stuff.

Bill took us out to see his beautiful Camelot and his modifications. He did a fantastic job.

So now this makes 6 people that we have met from irv2!

Thanks Bill for allowing us into your home and your Camelot.
