My Head light switch will not activate the dash lights, exterior lights work, probably need to replace switch, 2005 HR SCEPTER, same as Camelot, anyone know switch part number?
I recently replaced the headlight switch on my 07 Neptune. I used the number D1588 at my.local NAPA store. I'm not sure if that's the model number of the NAPA switch or a cross reference. I gave him that number and he come back with perfect switch. Seems like it was $15 or $20 bucks. On mine the rheostat portion was causing the dash lights to go in and out. A thread on here talked about how to clean it to stop it from not working. No way was I gonna try to clean it for $15 or $20.
I just got a new headlight switch for my 98 Dynasty and it is a coles and it would have fit
right in but my old receptacle was melted so I just put on spade crimpons and works great

If you pull the switch and examine it, you’ll find it has a part number that you can reference. I replaced mine recently and it turned out to be a stock GMC switch that is available almost everywhere.
